Carey Baptist College

Carey Baptist College exists to train people for the church and for the marketplace so as to enable them to serve and think and lead in a way that advances God’s mission in the world. It is the theological college of the Baptist Churches of New Zealand (established in 1926) and trains more than 300 people per year.

The School of Applied Theology and Mission focuses on giving students the academic, practical and spiritual base for ministry and mission work. Courses can be taken onsite, by distance or as an intern, while special Māori, youth and Chinese programmes are offered too. Short courses are also offered in conjunction with churches.

The R J Thompson Centre for Theological Studies offers programmes in conjunction with the University of Auckland’s School of Theology (and three other private theological colleges) from bachelor to doctoral level.
